The water in the drum has climbed to the maximum the control will allow, and Er:14 is the stop. The Vision manual labels it safety level reached. Bosch's causes cover both directions: something prevents the water leaving, such as a clogged pump or hose, or the inlet valve lets water in when it should be closed. A full tub risks overflow, so the control halts.
1. Close both water taps behind the washer straight away, since one cause is a valve that keeps admitting water. 2. Unplug the machine. 3. Put a towel and a shallow tray under the pump filter at the lower front. 4. Release the filter slowly, clear any debris, and replace it. 5. Leave the taps closed until we speak.
If the inlet valve is stuck open, water keeps arriving while you work. Closing the taps takes away that risk, and you can reopen them once the cause is found.
It can if the valve sticks open, which is why the control stops at the safety level. The sensor is a backup, and we would not rely on it to protect your floor.
It deserves prompt attention. If water is rising or leaking, close the taps and switch the power off. If the tub is full but still, you have time to book a visit.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
