E032 shows up when two or more keys on the control panel have registered as held down for ten seconds, or when the touch pad has more than one dead key. Heating pauses and the panel stops accepting input. Bosch notes the range carries on by itself once no key looks pressed any longer, which is why a panel that only needed drying often recovers without any repair.
1. Let the range cool and turn it off. 2. Wipe the fascia with a barely damp cloth, concentrating on grease around the keys, then dry it thoroughly. 3. Wait a few minutes before touching the pad again. 4. If E032 keeps returning after the panel is clean and dry, stop and call us.
Bosch says it resumes once no keys register as pressed, so a panel that merely needed cleaning and drying often comes back by itself. Give it ten minutes of drying time before deciding it needs service.
A slide-in range has its control panel right behind the cooking surface, where grease and steam reach it every time something is cooked. Keeping the panel wiped after greasy cooking is the best prevention.
If the code returns on a clean, dry panel, then more than one key has likely failed and the touch pad needs replacing. We give a written price first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
