The oven stops heating, the cooling fan screams along at top speed, and E101 shows. The oven cavity's temperature probe is registering as an open circuit, which Bosch attributes to an unplugged sensor or a connection on its way out. Rather than guess at the heat, the range halts heating and cools itself, then clears the message after two consecutive good readings. Codes starting with E1 belong to the oven cavity; E2 codes belong to the warming drawer.
1. Cut the range's breaker for two minutes, then restore it. 2. Try heating the oven and see whether it works. 3. If it heats at first and quits later, the connection is probably making and breaking; remember that detail for the booking call. 4. Leave the range in its opening instead of sliding it out to find the plug.
On a gas slide-in the burners run separately from the oven probe and usually still light. The oven itself should be considered unreliable until the probe circuit is sorted out.
Two good readings in a row clear the message, so a shaky connection can let it recover and then fail again in the middle of a bake.
The probe is a small part, and often the plug or wire is the real culprit. You see a written price before we begin any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
