Same Ascenta-era family, white front: that is the SHE3ARF2UC, with a stainless tub, recessed handle, 14 place settings and a 50 dBA rating, plus overflow protection in the base pan. At this age, one item matters on every such machine, whatever else is going on: the inlet hose.
Inside a rubber supply hose, the material hardens and cracks long before anything shows on the surface. A fifteen-year-old hose is a genuine flood risk, no matter how sound the dishwasher in front of it is. A new one is inexpensive, and we routinely fit one whenever we have the machine pulled out.
Two other jobs are typical here: a sump seal that drips into the base pan until the float trips, and a dispenser spring that weakens so the flap opens late. We check the hose, the sump seal and the dispenser spring on the same visit.
On a machine of this age, we would say yes. A hose breaks down from the inside, so its outside reveals little, and the cost of a new one is small beside the damage a burst hose does.
Close the supply valve before you do anything else, and then get in touch with us. That single step stops a small leak from growing into a large one.
The spring that opens the dispenser flap loses tension with age, so the flap opens late. Replacing the spring puts the release back where it belongs in the wash.
