The HII8055C pairs a FlexInduction cooktop with five zones and a European convection oven in a 30″ freestanding body, and it adds Home Connect smart features. You get an induction top and an oven in one unit, with no separate cooktop and wall oven to install.
Over the years, two kinds of trouble can show up. On the cooktop, E7015 points to overheating when the ventilation under the base is blocked, and E9000-type messages point to voltage problems. On the oven, E028 means the door lock hung up after a self-clean cycle. Because induction pulls high current, the electrical supply to the kitchen matters as much as the range itself.
On a visit, we first find out which half is affected, then check the supply voltage and the space around the base before we touch a single part. That order keeps us from replacing a board when the real cause is wiring or airflow.
It needs a properly rated 240V circuit, like most electric ranges. When voltage errors appear, the cause is sometimes the home wiring instead of the range, which is why we measure the supply first.
Usually yes. The cooktop and the oven have separate electronics and tend to fail independently, so one side acting up rarely stops the other. We still check both sides before closing the visit.
Blocked ventilation under the base. Keep the area clear of anything stored there, let the range cool, and try it again. If the message returns after it has cooled, have us look at the airflow path and the cooktop.
