Cooking halts, power levels drop or the zones shut off, and E7015 shows. Inside the cooktop, the electronics that drive the heating run hot, and the control cut them back once a temperature limit was crossed. This tends to follow a long stretch on high power, or a cabinet below that traps heat. It is a protective step, so the cooktop usually returns to normal after it has had time to cool.
1. Turn all zones off. 2. Let the cooktop rest at least 30 minutes with nothing on it. 3. Empty the drawer or cabinet directly underneath and make sure nothing presses against the vents. 4. Try a short cook on a medium setting. If E7015 comes back quickly, call us. Do not lift or open the cooktop.
Give it at least half an hour with the zones off. If the underside was crowded, clear it first. If the code returns within a short cook, something is still trapping heat or the fan is not moving air.
Short, moderate cooking is generally fine once it clears and ventilation is open. If it repeats, stop using it and let us look, since repeated overheating can damage the electronics underneath.
Not necessarily. A blocked cabinet or very heavy use explains many cases. A repeating code points to a fan or sensor problem, which we can confirm and price in writing before any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
