The display flashes E01 and the cycle freezes partway through, often with the tub holding cold or barely warm water and dishes still dirty. Behind it, the control has been timing how long the water takes to climb to the temperature the chosen program asks for. When the reading never gets there inside the allowed window, the machine gives up and stops instead of washing on without enough heat.
1. Do not take off any lower panel; the heater runs on 120V right beside standing water. 2. Open the kitchen faucet and let it run until the water turns hot. 3. Close the door and start a new cycle. 4. If E01 comes back even with hot water at the tap, stop and call us. Bosch expects roughly 120°F coming in, so a cold first fill is a known false trigger.
A reset can wipe the message, but if the water still cannot warm up in time the code returns on the next cycle. It only helps when a cold fill was the whole story.
Manufacturer coverage depends on your purchase date and terms, so check those before anyone opens the base. Our repair itself carries a 30-day workmanship warranty, and you approve a written price before we start.
Most visits are one trip: we diagnose, give you the written price, and fix it on the spot when the part is on the truck. Parts we need to order make it a second visit.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
