Bosch fits the heat pump with a pair of NTC temperature sensors so the control can cross-check them. E:11 means their readings have drifted apart or fallen outside the expected resistance band, so the control no longer believes the water temperature it is being given. The service instruction: measure both, replace the pump when one reads wrong, or fix the connections when those are to blame.
1. Skip any panel removal; this is a meter test at the pump connector on a dead machine. 2. Over the next few loads, notice whether the wash water seems cooler than before, or the dishes feel less clean. 3. Pass that along when you call so we know what to expect.
So the control can cross-check. If both agree the reading is trusted; if they diverge, the machine flags E:11 rather than wash with water that might be too hot or too cold.
Occasionally a damp connector dries out and the reading returns to normal, but the cause is still there. If it comes back, it is better to have the sensors measured than to wait for it to settle.
Only if a sensor measures out of range, because that is how the part is supplied. If the wiring is the problem, we repair that instead, and the written price reflects whichever job applies.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
