Standing water in the bottom of the tub is what goes with E:22. The control found water in the sump at a moment when it expected the sump to be dry. Bosch lists three steps: empty the sump, clean the fine screen and the coarse filter above it, then work out where the water came from so it does not return. Clogged filters are the ordinary culprit, which is why the filter cleaning comes second.
1. Take out the lower rack and bail out the standing water with a cup. 2. Twist out the filter set, knock the coarse trap clean into the trash and rinse the fine screen until you can see light through the mesh. 3. Refit it with the arrows lined up. 4. Run a hot rinse with the tub empty.
Monthly is a good habit for a busy household. A quick rinse takes minutes and spares you cycles that leave dishes gritty and the tub smelling stale.
Usually the filters are blocked and the drain pump cannot clear the sump. Cleaning them fixes it most of the time. If the water returns quickly, there may be a leak or a pump problem.
Then we look for a slow leak or a drain problem. We tell you what we find, and you have the written price before any part is ordered.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
