If your Bosch washes warm and hot programs with cold water, Er:05 may be the reason. The control checks the NTC temperature sensor constantly, and this code says its circuit is open, as though the wire had been cut. Bosch's two service documents agree on a damaged sensor or a broken cable, and the Vision manual points technicians to the heater test program to confirm.
1. You cannot test this at home. 2. To gather useful information, select a hot wash. 3. After about twenty minutes touch the glass of the door. 4. If the glass is still cool, make a note of that and of the program you ran. 5. Unplug the washer and tell us what you observed when you book.
Cold cycles may run, but the control cannot manage heated programs safely, so it stops them. Detergent also works less well on greasy or heavily soiled loads without the heat.
Er:05 means the sensor circuit is open, while Er:06 means it reads as shorted. The display tells you which one, and the repair for each is similar: fix the cable or swap the sensor.
We test the sensor and its cable with a meter, then give you a written price before any work starts. Our repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty on the parts and labor we supply.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
