Er:07 tells you the water in a Bosch front-loader warmed up although the control never asked for heat. The Nexxt and Vision service documents name the same two suspects: a heating element with current leaking to ground, or a relay on the board that has fused shut and keeps feeding the element. Bosch's repair advice is an insulation test on the element, then a new element or a new control board.
1. Flip the washer's breaker to off; using the panel buttons is not enough. 2. Prop the door open once the drum has cooled. 3. Skip any test cycle. 4. Call us and mention what you noticed, such as warm water in a cold program. A fused relay keeps power flowing to the element whatever program the display shows.
The relay that switches the heater is on the control board. If it is stuck, the heater stays powered even when the washer looks off, so only cutting the circuit makes the machine truly safe.
A stuck heater is the sort of problem the control watches for, which is why it throws a code. We still treat it as high risk and ask that you keep the washer off until it is inspected.
If the element is the culprit, yes. If the relay on the board is the cause, a new element will not help, so we test both before ordering parts.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
