Fill, then silence: the drum never turns. That is the usual picture with Er:09, where the main control can no longer talk to the circuit that runs the drum motor. Nexxt washers describe it as lost communication with the motor; Vision washers, which add a separate inverter board, describe it as a broken link between control and inverter. Bosch points both at the wiring harness.
1. Cut the washer's breaker, wait ten minutes and restore power. 2. Start a normal wash and watch the drum. 3. Note whether it turns at all after the fill. 4. If the drum stays still and Er:09 returns, stop and call us. The reset is worth a try, but a damaged harness will not mend itself.
Filling and draining are handled by the main control, while the drum motor depends on the link to the drive. When that link fails, the washer carries on until the first step that needs the motor.
Not necessarily. The code says communication was lost, which is often a wiring or connector problem. We check the harness and connectors before condemning the motor or inverter.
For a short time, yes, but arrange to have it drained. Standing water in a closed drum can develop an odor within a day or so.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
