The relay that sends power to the motor drive is what Er:24 points at. On Nexxt machines Bosch lists a motor power relay failure on the control module; on Vision machines, a relay feeding the inverter that is stuck, with a single fix, a new control. Either way the trouble is on the board and not in the motor.
1. Turn the washer off at the circuit breaker, not just at the buttons. 2. Leave it off until it has been looked at. 3. Mention whether the drum was spinning, humming or silent when the code appeared. A stuck relay can leave the circuit live even when the display looks dead.
Not by itself. Bosch ties it to the relay on the control module, so the motor is usually fine. We test the relay and drive before recommending a new board.
A stuck relay can leave the drive energized, so we advise switching it off at the breaker. Unplugging works too if you can reach the cord safely.
It depends on whether the control or the inverter is replaced. We give you a written price before starting work, and our workmanship is covered for 30 days.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
