Dryer Repair in Houston

If loads come out damp, the drum spins without heat, or the cycle quits early, the cause is usually airflow, a sensor, or a heating element. Restricted airflow can also become a fire hazard, so don't let it slide.

01What goes wrong

Common dryer problems we fix

In the order we see them across Houston homes.

01

Laundry still wet after a full cycle

02

Tumbles but produces no heat

03

Cuts out before the cycle finishes

04

Hot or burning odor while running

05

Rumbling or shaking drum

06

Motor hums but drum stays still

When a dryer needs two cycles for one load, the clothes aren’t the issue. Heat is being made but not carried out, or not made at all. A long vent run, common in garages and utility closets, makes lint buildup likelier, and lint is the usual culprit behind both slow drying and dryer fires.

Our visit follows the air. We look at the lint screen, then the duct, then the heating element and the NTC temperature sensor that controls it. Once we find the restriction or the worn part, we fix that, instead of just resetting the board and hoping. You get the price in writing before the work starts, and we show you the lint or the failed part we found.

05Dryer questions
Is an E12 code on my dryer an emergency?

Not an emergency, but act soon. E12 points to restricted airflow, often a full lint screen or a clogged vent. Heat that can't escape builds up, and overheating from a blocked vent is a known fire risk.

How often should the vent duct be cleaned?

Plan on a complete cleaning at least once a year, and sooner if your household washes a lot. A clear duct keeps drying times short and keeps E12 from coming back.

My dryer smells like something is burning. What should I do?

Turn it off and leave it off. A burning odor can come from a heating element or a belt, and neither should run again until a technician has looked it over. Then book a visit.
