The machine begins a drink, makes pump noise, then stops with Error 3 and little or no water coming out. The control counts the water passing through and found too little. Either the water is not reaching the pump, such as from an unseated tank or a pinched supply line, or the pump itself is clogged or worn and cannot deliver the pressure the brew needs.
1. Pull out the water tank, rinse it, fill it with fresh water and push it back until it seats fully. 2. On a plumbed-in model, trace the hose to be sure nothing is pinched and the valve is open. 3. Run a rinse cycle. 4. If Error 3 returns, call us. Do not open the machine.
Check the basics: the tank seated all the way, enough water in it, and no kink in a plumbed-in line. Many cases are an unseated tank. If those are fine, a pump inspection is the next step.
It can be, since mineral flakes sometimes choke the pump. A descaling program per the manual is reasonable if it is overdue. If the error stays afterward, the pump likely needs attention.
We suggest stopping. A pump that struggles can fail completely and may overheat. A prompt check is cheaper than replacing more parts later, and we give a written price before starting.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
