Unlike every other Benchmark column, the B30IR905SP has no freezer section whatsoever. It is a refrigerator only, panel-ready, 29 3/4 inches in width and 83 3/4 in height, with full-height fresh food storage, VitaFresh drawers and Home Connect. Most are installed beside a matching freezer column to form a pair.
A pair behind one run of panels reads as one machine from the front, yet it is two. If a homeowner reports the refrigerator side is dead, our first question is which of the two appliances is actually responsible, because each carries its own compressor, controls and serial plate. Trouble in one leaves the other completely alone.
Once we know the culprit, we turn to the shared surroundings. Ventilation at the top grille may be restricted or shared between the columns. The two door panels are set up independently, so they can drift out of line with each other, and that is solved with a hinge adjustment on one door. Knowing the unit in advance lets us arrive with the right parts.
They are not. Each has its own compressor, controls and serial plate, so a problem in one has no effect on the other, which makes diagnosis cleaner.
Normally, yes, on one of the two doors. Each is adjusted separately from the other, and putting the panels back in line is a straightforward task for us.
Which side is acting up. If you can tell us whether it is the refrigerator or the freezer, we load the right parts and avoid a second trip.
