Next to the rest of Bosch’s refrigerators, the B33CM10SNS is a different animal. Its width is 31 1/4 inches, not 36, and it holds 17.2 cubic feet behind a single fresh food door, with a freezer drawer below. There is no Home Connect, no water filter and no plumbed water dispenser, though an ice maker is fitted.
That short feature list is the point. With nothing to change on the water side and no dispenser inside to leak, the two most common service items on a Bosch refrigerator disappear. The anti-fingerprint stainless front and a full-width produce drawer keep the rest of the design simple, and the ice maker draws directly from the supply line.
What wears here are the ordinary mechanics. We look at the freezer drawer runners first, since they suffer when someone drags the drawer by its contents instead of the handle. Then the defrost drain low in the cabinet, which can clog and let water pool, and the gasket on the wide door, which hangs from two hinges and can compress over time.
Nothing is missing. The design leaves out filtered water and a dispenser altogether, so no cartridge exists to change and no line to plumb. The ice maker is fed directly from the supply.
Most often the cause is worn runners, which result from pulling the drawer open by the food inside instead of by the handle. New runners can be fitted, and it is a straightforward job.
With no filter and no dispenser, there are fewer routine items to pay for. We still quote any repair in writing first, and there is a 30-day workmanship warranty.
