Sterling Ridge opened in 1999, the year The Woodlands turned 25, and its name nods to that silver anniversary. It is one of the newer villages on our routes, stretching west toward the edge of the Township and home to the gated Carlton Woods enclave.

Houses date mainly from the late 1990s and 2000s, ranging from family homes near the village center, which opened in 2001, to large custom estates in Carlton Woods. The village has the George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library and a YMCA that opened in 2003.
Like the other villages, Sterling Ridge relies on the SJRA Woodlands Division, whose system includes six elevated tanks, nine ground storage tanks and five groundwater plants alongside a surface water plant on Lake Conroe. The groundwater share makes filter changes worth doing on time.
Sterling Ridge is among the villages that border Spring Creek on the south. Long rainy stretches and high humidity can leave garage-located laundry rooms warm and damp, which is hard on washer door seals and dryer vent ducts.
Larger homes here often have Bosch Benchmark or 800 Series packages: paneled dishwashers, double wall ovens, induction cooktops and built-in coffee machines. Estate kitchens may include two dishwashers and a separate beverage refrigerator.
Sterling Ridge lies on the western side of The Woodlands, farther from I-45 than the original villages. Next-day visits are the norm here. Gated sections such as Carlton Woods require a guest pass, so please register the technician’s name with the gate or send us any access instructions when you book.
The homes here are new enough that many still have their first major appliances, and those are now reaching the age when control boards, pumps and door seals start to fail.
