Pecan Grove sits on FM 359 about four miles northeast of Richmond, a country club community laid out among native pecan trees. Its ranch and traditional homes are older than most of the master-planned neighborhoods around it, and many have had at least one kitchen update.
What we find in Pecan Grove homes, and how it shapes a Bosch repair here.
Bruce Belin and Associates bought about 1,450 acres in 1973 and started building in 1978. Originally called Pecan Grove Plantation, the community grew to 9,502 residents by 1990 and 22,782 by 2020. Homes are mostly ranch and traditional designs from the late 1970s through the 1990s on larger lots.
Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District, created in 1975, runs the water, wastewater and drainage systems for about 1,370 acres of residential development. The district also operates a levee system, which is unusual for a MUD in this area.
The Brazos River borders Pecan Grove on the southwest, and the MUD's levee keeps it from overflowing into the neighborhood. In May 2024 the district posted updates as it watched a forecast crest of 45.2 feet at the Richmond gauge.
Remodeled kitchens often hold Bosch dishwashers, slide-in ranges and counter-depth refrigerators. Some original homes keep a wall oven cabinet that now houses a Bosch single or combination oven.
Pecan Grove has its own 27-hole golf course and country club, and many homes face fairways or ponds. We reach the community from FM 359 and the Westpark Tollway, and because it is farther out than the inner suburbs, we generally schedule visits for the next day.
Houses here are now 30 to 45 years old, and many kitchens have been updated in stages. When a new Bosch dishwasher sits next to original plumbing, the old shut-off valve is often the weak spot. We check valves, drain lines and electrical connections whenever we install or repair an appliance and tell you if something nearby needs attention, so you can plan for it.
Most likely, as standard 24-inch openings were common in homes of that period. Older floors and countertops can affect the height, so we measure and check the connections before confirming the fit.
The levee protects the neighborhood from river flooding. Inside the home, appliance problems are usually related to age and wear, not the river. We diagnose each unit and give you a written price first.
Occasionally, but next-day is the norm, because Pecan Grove is in our outer area. We often combine it with calls in Richmond and Rosenberg to keep your arrival window narrow. Our repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
