Sienna stretches along the Brazos River south of Missouri City, behind a long levee and around Oyster Creek. It was called Sienna Plantation until 2019, and today it is home to more than 20,000 residents in a broad mix of builder neighborhoods.
What we find in Sienna homes, and how it shapes a Bosch repair here.
Johnson Development began the community in 1978, building a 10-mile levee during that first phase. By 2009, 5,000 of the 5,200 planned homes were occupied, and building has continued in later sections. The land was once a sugar and cotton plantation, and the name was changed in May 2019.
Sienna's water comes through its municipal utility districts. Missouri City's regional surface water treatment plant sits on Bees Passage Road near the community and treats Brazos River water drawn from the Briscoe Canal, which is blended into the supply of participating districts.
The Brazos River runs just west of Sienna, and Oyster Creek flows through its center. The levee system keeps river water out, but heavy rain fills the internal lakes and drainage channels. We sometimes see damp garage laundry areas after long wet stretches.
Houses here often include Bosch dishwashers, 36-inch cooktops and double wall ovens, along with large French-door refrigerators. Newer homes sometimes have induction cooktops or built-in coffee machines as upgrades.
We reach Sienna from Highway 6 and the Sienna Parkway, and the community is large enough that travel time depends on which part of it you are in. Tell us your village or the nearest school when you call, since that helps us pick the right approach and give you a more accurate arrival window.
Many homes here are now 15 to 25 years old, which is when original appliances start to need major parts. Wall ovens that heat unevenly, dishwashers that leak at the door and refrigerators with failing ice makers are frequent calls. For homes built more recently, problems often trace back to installation details such as unlevel tubs or kinked drain hoses, which are usually quick fixes.
Often yes. A failed bake element, a worn convection fan or a weak temperature sensor causes most uneven heating. We test each part and give you a written price before ordering anything.
The levee protects homes from river flooding, but humidity stays high. Keep dryer vents clean and give refrigerator coils a regular vacuuming to help them run efficiently.
Most Sienna visits are next-day, and same-day happens when a technician is already working nearby in Missouri City. Expect a written price after diagnosis and a 30-day warranty on our workmanship.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
