The B21CT80SNB came in black stainless and was Bosch’s multi-door version of the 800 Series French door, 35 7/8 inches wide, with a flexible middle drawer. Bosch has discontinued it, and that fact shapes how owners should think about its finish.
Panels from a discontinued line are not always obtainable. If a door is damaged and the matching finish is no longer made, nothing else will do: ordinary stainless on a black refrigerator stands out at once, in a way a slightly different shade of stainless would not. Black stainless also cannot be refinished satisfactorily at the house, so it pays to learn that early.
Care starts with the coating. Magnets and suction hooks mark it, and on a finish that cannot be matched later, those marks are permanent. When we visit, we check the usual French door hinge and gasket wear and the middle drawer zone, and if the cabinet has a damaged panel we look for a finish-matched replacement first, then tell you what is realistic.
First we try to find a panel in the same finish and tell you whether one exists. Refinishing black stainless at the house does not give a result worth having, which is why we raise that early.
Yes. Magnets and suction hooks both mark the coating, and since the line is discontinued, such marks stay permanently because a matching replacement may not be available.
A soft damp cloth with mild detergent, wiped dry afterward. Abrasive creams and solvent wipes attack the coating, and once the damage is done it cannot be reversed.
